My New Hobby
Thanks to my cousin, and dear friend, Shannon...I have a new hobby! I am now completely addicted to scrap-booking and card-making. She got me hooked. Logan let me splurge a little bit and I went on a mini shopping spree. I love shopping the outlets and I love things that are on sale! So if anyone hears of a really good sale, a discount store or a scrapbook fair, let me know :) My favorite outlet store is closing next month so I'm really sad! Anyway, I love making greeting cards, announcements and invitations. I'm making my sister's graduation announcements for May (go Amber!). It is a lot of fun and it keeps me busy on the long nights when Logan has to close at work. Sorry some of these pics are poor quality but I hope you enjoy them!

Bothered
This isn't going to be a very happy post so I won't be offended if you stop reading right now. I just feel the need to vent and this is my blog so, in the words of my brother, "I do what I want".
During work this morning, a bunch of us girls went to the gas station to get a little snack during our break, including the new girl whose first day was today. I offered to drive. The gas station is only 2 minutes away and so it was a pretty short trip. On our way back, I asked everyone to please not eat in my car because it is new. The new girl said "Ok! no problem" and then proceeded to eat her greasy, cheesy, chili covered nachos all the way back to work! I watched her in the rear-view mirror trying to "sneak" it. IT'S TWO FREAKIN MINUTES! You can't wait?! Even after I asked nicely and you said "ok"?? It's your first day of work, we're all already disturbed because you are well endowed and yet chose not to wear a bra, and now you're eating nachos in my car. Talk about rubbing me the wrong way! I'm trying to be nice but needless to say, I am bothered. Bothered, bothered, bothered. Sigh.

what love is
Dearest Logan,
Thank you for singing me to sleep last night.
Thank you for being my best friend in the whole world.
Thank you for carrying me through some of the most difficult trials I've ever had to endure.
Thank you for rubbing my feeties after long days at work.
Thank you for being the one who always does the dishes even though I know you HATE it.
Thank you for kissing me last thing before you leave and first thing when you come home.
Thank you for telling me I'm beautiful.
Thank you for always letting me have the remote control.
Thank you for going to school and working two jobs.
Thank you for always telling me about your day and being excited to hear about mine.
Thank you for being willing to eat ANYTHING.
Thank you for letting me be emotional and cry all over you.
Thank you for being the most patient human being I've ever met.
Thank you for being perfect.
Thank you for having flaws.
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for killing all the spiders.
Thank you for setting a good example for me.
Thank you for your strong testimony of the gospel.
Thank you for your sweet spirit and tender heart.
Thank you for letting me always drive.
Thank you for being so dang handsome.
Thank you for always being able to make me laugh until I pee a little.
Thank you for sharing my same dreams and desires for the future.
Thank you for being so smart and intelligent.
Thank you for your back rubs.
Thank you for the little laugh lines by your eyes.
Thank you for loving me.
I love you.
Yours Forever, Jill

The high cost of low prices
For the past 3 years I have worked, and shopped, at Macey's grocery store. Though I had only shopped at Walmart on a few occasions, I always hated it. I love Macey's and felt proud of myself for sticking it to the man and avoiding the mega-corp small man killer aka Walmart.
This past week, however, I had a coupon and so I went to Walmart to pick up a few things. I started shopping around more and, I hate to say it, but I'm going to have to shopping there regularly. A little piece of me died when I came to this realization.
I changed jobs recently so I no longer get my discount at Macey's and money is a little tight. You can't deny the lower prices. Some day when we're rich, I'll have the luxury of shopping at a store with fast checkout lines, personalized service and friendly faces. Unfortunately, that day is not today and my little dream world has come to an end.

So excited for summer!

Yesterday I bought some strawberries for the first time in a looong time. They are so expensive in the winter and not very good anyway. But these were so big, ripe and juicy! They were $2.50 which is still a little pricey, but so worth it! One of the hardest parts of winter, for me, is missing fruit. I LOVE fruit and today I am happy :) Winter is almost over!

Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

I know it's been a whole year since I have blogged! So much has happened and I wish I had been more diligent because it is such a fun way of journal-keeping! I love reading the blogs of all of my friends and family and getting to see those little pieces of your lives.
The biggest thing, of course, that has happened to me in the last year and a half is the marriage and sealing to my wonderful husband. Logan and I have an amazing life together and I am so thankful to be married to my best friend.
I hope you enjoy these pictures and I hope I can be better this year in 'documenting' and sharing our life with you :)
